Standard Dosage: For Gandusha/Kavala (oil pulling): 15-20 mL held in mouth for 5-15 minutes, then spat out. For local application: apply to gums with finger or cotton, as per Sahasrayogam/AFI
Bioavailability: Buccal/gingival absorption provides direct delivery to oral mucosa. Oil pulling (Gandusha) allows 5-15 minutes of mucosal contact time. Tannins from Khadira and Bakula have astringent action on gingival tissues. Sesame oil base has inherent antimicrobial properties (sesaminol).
Optimal Timing: Morning on empty stomach for Gandusha (oil pulling). Local application after meals for gum conditions.
Shelf Life: 3 years from date of manufacture as per ASU guidelines for Taila
Storage: Store in amber glass bottles in a cool, dry place. Temperature not exceeding 25°C. Oral-grade preparation requires enhanced cleanliness standards.
