## The conflict of interest, stated plainly This site is published by Age Ayurveda, which sells Ayurvedic products at ageayurveda.com. A company publishing a reference work about the category it sells into has an obvious incentive problem. Here is how we handle it. - **Reference pages are not sales pages.** No product is mentioned in the body of a monograph. - **One disclosed block.** Where a page describes something we sell, a single labelled block at the end of the page says so and links to the product. It is visually separated and it says who publishes the site. - **No page exists because a product needed one.** The monograph set was generated from a reference corpus covering the whole materia medica, not from our catalogue. Most pages have no commercial link at all. - **No advertising, no sponsorship, no affiliate links.** ## How claims are worded Ayurvedic products are regulated, and disease claims are a regulatory exposure rather than a style preference. The rules we write to: - In product blocks: "supports X function", or "traditionally used to support X". Never treats, cures, relieves or prevents. Never a disease name. - In reference text: traditional indications are reported as the classical source states them, attributed to that source. Research findings are reported as the authors state them, attributed to the study. Neither is presented as advice, and neither appears next to a product link. - Product names are never changed to make a claim easier to write. Some of our product names contain claim-like words. Renaming is a packaging and licensing decision, not a copy edit, so the name stays and the surrounding text does the work. These rules are enforced mechanically, not by good intentions: the build fails if a disease term appears inside a product block. ## What we will not publish - Dosage recommendations for individuals, or anything that reads as a treatment plan. - Manufacturing process detail. This is a reference for readers, not a formulation manual. - Details of products that have not launched. - Fabricated authorship or review credentials. See reviewers for exactly where the Nighantu stands on expert review today. ## Safety framing Every monograph carries a safety and contraindications section where the source material has one, and every page carries a disclaimer. Where a substance is restricted, toxic, or a metallic or mineral preparation requiring specialist handling, we have kept it out of the public Nighantu entirely rather than publish a monograph a general reader might act on. ## Dates and revisions Pages carry a last-reviewed date. Research sections state the year of the study. When we correct something we say so on corrections.
