## What is used

One of those is worth a question. Aṇu Taila is classically a nasal oil: its formulation is given in Aṣṭāṅga Hṛdaya Sūtra Sthāna 20, the chapter on *nasya* or nasal instillation, at verses 37 to 38, and it is also referred to Caraka Sūtra 5. Its classical route of use is instillation into the nose, not application to the face. The record cites *Sahasrayogam*. As with the other Kerala-tradition entries in this dataset, Sahasrayogam is structured as a formulary of formulations rather than a manual of procedures, and I could not confirm that it describes Mukha-Abhyaṅga. Recorded as unverified.
