- CRITICAL: Contains Aconitum ferox ([Vatsanabha](/herb/vatsanabha/)), one of the most toxic plants known - even after Shodhana purification, overdose can cause fatal cardiac arrhythmias and neurotoxicity; strict dose adherence is essential
- Contains mercury as HgS from Kajjali and cinnabar; dual heavy metal and botanical toxicity risk makes this one of the more hazardous rasa shastra formulations
- Self-medication is explicitly warned against due to aconite content; severe poisoning and death can result from overdose or improperly purified ingredients
- No long-term safety clinical trials available; all safety claims are based on traditional practice and extrapolation from related formulation studies
- Contraindicated in pregnancy, lactation, children, cardiac patients, renal/hepatic impairment, and patients on anti-arrhythmic drugs; use only under direct physician supervision for short duration
