**Standard Dosage:** 30-125mg of Shodhita (purified) Ahiphena only; STRICTLY under qualified Ayurvedic physician supervision. NOT for self-medication. Regulatory restrictions apply in most jurisdictions.

**Bioavailability:** High oral bioavailability (60-80%) for morphine and codeine alkaloids. First-pass metabolism significant. Shodhana process (purification with cow's milk or Bhringaraja juice) modifies alkaloid profile and may reduce toxicity while retaining therapeutic activity. Traditional processing alters the ratio of opiate alkaloids.

**Optimal Timing:** At bedtime for sleep-related indications; as prescribed by physician for pain management. Always with appropriate anupana as directed.
