**Standard Dosage:** External: sufficient quantity for scalp massage, 30-60 minutes before hair wash, 2-3 times weekly, as per traditional texts

**Bioavailability:** Scalp has rich blood supply — topical application provides follicular penetration of [wedelolactone](/glossary/compounds-t-z/#wedelolactone) and other hair-growth-promoting compounds. [Coconut oil](/glossary/concepts-a-m/#coconut-oil) penetrates hair shaft (lauric acid has high affinity for hair protein). 30-60 minute pre-wash application provides optimal contact time.

**Optimal Timing:** 30-60 minutes before hair wash, 2-3 times weekly. Overnight application once weekly for intensive treatment. Gentle scalp massage during application.

**Shelf Life:** 3 years from date of manufacture as per ASU guidelines for Taila
